I've enjoyed time with my family this summer. I absolutely love spending time on the porch. When I'm sitting there looking out into our community, I find myself consumed with the scenery. I love seeing neighbors walking and riding bikes. Everyone waving from afar while enjoying their morning or evening walk. I've been reading a lot and It feels so good.  Sometimes I forget we are still in the mist of the coronavirus crisis.

I thought I would share some favorites I usually have with me while sitting on the porch.

I love a good book.  My current read is The Testaments by Margaret Atwood.  The second part to the Handmaid's Tale.  It has definitely kept my attention. I'm also listening to Michelle Obama's new podcast.

I've discovered that I am really good at making homemade Ginger Lemonade. I add a little agave and it is perfect. It's definitely a must have on the porch.

If I'm having lemonade I have to use our Linell Ellis leather coasters.  The color makes me happy.

I hope you are able to find your place, your space during this time. I hope you find moments where you can do something that makes you happy in the midst of all we are going through.  Even if for a moment.
